Sold house prices by postcode
Every residential sale in England and Wales is recorded by HM Land Registry. Postcode Brief searches the target postcode and neighbouring postcodes to build a local picture.
Median vs individual sales
The median of recent sales is more stable than any single transaction. One large detached sale can skew an average in a mixed area.
Property type matters
Land Registry records property type (detached, semi, terraced, flat). Compare like with like when judging an asking price.
Timing
Sales appear after completion, often weeks later. Very recent market moves may not yet be visible.
